Danny Boyle has revealed that he is hoping to shoot the long-planned sequel to Trainspotting next summer. The director also confirmed that the key original cast members from his 1996 black comedy, which was adapted from the novel of the same name by Irvine Welsh, are all keen to reprise their roles.

"It's May and June next year we shoot and we've got a terrific script," Boyle said.
